The highly anticipated trailer for The Bikeriders, featuring Tom Hardy and Austin Butler has finally arrived. The film, directed by Jeff Nichols, was slated for a 2020 release but was delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. The story follows the rise of The Vandals, a midwestern motorcycle club. The movie’s official synopsis states that “seen through the lives of its members, the club evolves over a decade from a gathering place for local outsiders into a more sinister gang, threatening the original group’s unique way of life.”
The film revolves around the character of Benny, played by Butler, and the gang’s leader Johnny, played by Hardy. The gang is known for its violent actions, which strike fear into neighbourhoods. The movie also stars Michael Shannon, Jodie Comer, Mike Faist, and Norman Reedus.
Butler has previously described Hardy as “the most intense guy” he’s ever seen while performing on camera. However, in a recent interview with Interview magazine, Butler shared that he was surprised by how funny Hardy was in real life. Butler also spoke about the difference in the movie’s intimate sensitivity as compared to the “spectacle” of Elvis and Dune: Part Two, stating that “It was nice to go to something that felt more independent and play in that space for a bit.”
The Bikeriders is set to release in UK cinemas on June 21st. Fans of the actors and fans of the genre are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the movie. With the star-studded cast and the gripping storyline, the movie promises to be a thrilling ride
