Body Movements, a queer festival based in London, has announced its full line-up for its upcoming summer day event. The festival will host a variety of artists, including Nikki Nair, Shanti Celeste, ISAbella, Confidence Man, Manuka Honey, Michelle Manetti, Or:la, Peach, TAAHLIAH, Tash LC, and, of course, Body Movements co-founder Saoirse. The festival will also feature live performances from COBRAH, COUCOU CHLOE, Josh Caffé, and LSDXOXO.
Body Movements is not just about music, but will also welcome collectives such as Adonis, PXSSY PALACE, and Technomate. The festival has announced that it will move to Southwark Park in South London for its 2024 event, with over 50 artists performing across five custom stages set up with “high-end” sound and lighting.
In an Instagram statement, the Body Movements team said, “We were dreaming of a space that we could call our own, safe and sheltered but vast and open, a space where queer expression could thrive…We are on a mission to curate London’s first outdoor, queer, dance music festival. A place to play, dance, celebrate, connect, and empower queer bodies. Out in the open, beneath the trees.”
This year’s Body Movements event will take place on August 25 in Southwark Park. Tickets are available on the festival’s website. The winter edition of the festival took place across 11 spaces in Hackney Wick, with performances from FAFF, GIDEÖN, Hannah Holland, and more
