Knocked Loose announce new album and share single ‘Blinding Faith’

Kentucky metalcore band Knocked Loose has announced the upcoming release of their third LP, entitled ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To.’ Featuring collaborations with Chris Motionless of Motionless in White and Poppy, Pure Noise will release the album on May 10. The inspiration for the album’s title came from a conversation frontman Bryan Garris had on a plane with a woman who reassured him about his fear of flying. She told him, “You won’t go before you’re supposed to.”

The album features a diverse range of sounds, with guitarist Isaac Hale claiming the band “go the fastest we’ve ever gone, we go the scariest we’ve ever gone. We also go the catchiest and the most melodic that we’ve ever gone, and that’s the point.” The album will not feature last year’s singles ‘Deep in the Willow’ and ‘Everything is Quiet Now.’

The band has also released the album’s lead single, ‘Blinding Faith.’ A scathing indictment of both religious groupthink and the hypocrisy that sometimes accompanies outward piety, Hale claimed inspiration came from attending church as a child. He found it “hilarious how many people showed up to church that I knew were rude, horrible, selfish people. They knew that it made them seem like a better person — or if they said the words, it would redeem them of any negative quality just because they showed face.”

Accompanying the album’s announcement is a complete tracklist, upcoming tour dates including UK shows, and news that Knocked Loose will perform at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas this April with Slipknot, System of a Down, and Slowdive
