English singer-songwriter PJ Harvey has released a video for her song ‘Seem An I’, featuring actress Ruth Wilson. The official music video for the track was filmed at Kennel Farm outside Salisbury by Oscar-nominated screenwriter and director, Colm Bairéad. The song is taken off Harvey’s latest album, ‘I Inside The Old Year Dying’. Wilson is best known for her roles in TV shows such as ‘Luther’ and ‘The Affair’, as well as on the big screen in ‘Saving Mr Banks’ and ‘Jane Eyre’.

Harvey and Wilson first became friends after working together on Clio Barnard’s film ‘Dark River’. For the ‘Seem An I’ video, Harvey approached Wilson with the idea of collaborating with Bairéad, a director Wilson held in high regard. “I find the resulting short film beautiful and moving for having Ruth’s magical presence, and Colm’s unique vision”, Harvey said in a press release. Wilson added: “There is no better way to spend a day in the magical world of PJ Harvey.”

To coincide with the release of the video, Harvey also announced that she will be embarking on her first North American tour this autumn. Kicking off on September 11th in Washington DC and closing on October 14th at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the 16-date tour will visit various cities across America and Canada. Tickets for the North American tour go on sale on the 1st of March.

Harvey will also be headlining several festivals this summer, including Roskilde and Øya, and will play a London show in August 2024 with a line-up curated by Harvey herself. Additionally, earlier this month Harvey performed Captain Beefheart’s poem that he wrote about her cat at London’s Michael Werner Gallery, which was opening an exhibition of the cult legend’s paintings
