The lineup for the 31st Sónar Festival in Barcelona, set to run from Thursday, June 13 to Sunday, June 15, 2024, has grown with the inclusion of more than 60 new artists. This popular music festival focuses on dance and electronic music, and in 2024, it will feature performances from Air, Laurel Halo, and Laurent Garnier. Kaytranada, Jessie Ware, and Vince Staples were among the first announced names for the event, which draws festival-goers from across the globe and is known for its cutting-edge music selection. New additions to the lineup include Sevdaliza, Paul Kalkbrennar, DJ Tennis, Richie Hawtin, and Adriatique. Some of the previously announced performers include Charlotte de Witte, Floating Points, Ben Böhmer live, Casisdead, Marie Davidson, and Folamour. The festival was founded in Barcelona in 1994 and has since initiated spin-offs in cities worldwide, including Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, and Reykjavik.
The festival also includes Sónar+D, an event in which international leaders in art, science, and digital culture share their insights through talks, demos, workshops, exhibitions, and more. Attendees can expect to experience engaging discussions on the most recent developments in these fields.
French band Air is currently touring the UK and Europe for the 25th anniversary of their album ‘Moon Safari.’ During their tour, the band has been performing the album in its entirety.
