Pharrell says a collaboration with Miley Cyrus is ‘coming soon’

The musician, Pharrell, has announced that his collaboration with Miley Cyrus is on its way, posting a snippet of their new song featuring him playing the track titled “Doctor” in his car on Instagram. The song was first heard as part of Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Fall-Winter 2024 Collection presentation held last month in Paris. It is believed that the song was part of Miley Cyrus’s 2013 album ‘Bangerz’ but had been rewritten and re-recorded, with Pharrell receiving a producer credit.

The lyrics that can be heard in the teaser are “I could be your doctor and I could be your nurse/ I think I see the problem, it’s only gon’ get worse/ I need my medication just show me where it hurts/ I need to rock you baby before your body burns.” A release date has not yet been confirmed, but Pharrell has said that it is “coming soon.”

On another note, it was revealed earlier this month that Usher was set to be part of a supergroup with Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z, and Diddy, which eventually never came to fruition. In an interview, Usher said, “I didn’t say, ‘No.’ I didn’t say, ‘Yeah.’ We all got caught up in the moment. We were talking about it and having secret meetings about it.”

In addition, Pharrell recently announced that he was releasing a biopic called “Piece by Piece” which will be made out of legos. The film is set to be “an unparalleled motion picture experience that captures the magic and brilliance of Pharrell Williams’ creative genius, one Lego brick at a time”. The movie is expected to hit theaters on October 11, 2024, and will defy genres and expectations to transport audiences into a Lego world where anything is possible
