AleXa, a Korean-American singer, has shared a new music video for her latest single, ‘sick’. She describes it as a “departure from my previous releases” and adds that it’s “deeply connected to my pop-punk influences”. On the track, AleXa explores the different aspects of a toxic relationship, delving into the struggle of being blinded by rose-tinted glasses while in love. Similarly, in the accompanying music video, AleXa fights an idealised version of her lover while fighting for her own independence.
The singer recently premiered ‘sick’ on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ and also performed it during her stops on the ‘iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball’ tour last month. She is now preparing for the first part of her ‘sick of you’ US tour, scheduled to kick off in late-March and end in mid-April 2024. The tour will feature six shows in different cities across the US, including New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM has released an English-language version of their latest single ‘Easy’, along with ‘Sped Up’ and a ‘Slowed + Reverb’ version.
Despite this being a new era in AleXa’s career, she feels like it’s the most authentic version of herself. “Boy you make me sick, you’re just too damn perfect / I don’t deserve it, me losing it / You make me sick / Sick to my stomach, I wanna vomit kissing your lips / You make me sick”, she sings on the single. The music video for the song follows AleXa’s journey as she tries to untangle herself from a romantic relationship she is no longer interested in, while dealing with her own independence and finding her self-worth
