V&A Museum seeking Taylor Swift superfan to be official adviser

The V&A Museum in London is searching for a Taylor Swift enthusiast to serve as an official advisor on the pop icon. The museum seeks a UK-based “Swiftie” to provide knowledge on Swift’s fan culture, memorabilia, and crafts, particularly the handmade signs and friendship bracelets exchanged among concert-goers. The V&A hopes to hire the advisor ahead of Swift’s upcoming shows across the UK and Europe as part of her “Eras” tour later this year. The museum aims to enhance its collection, exhibitions, and curatorial knowledge by working with grassroots fans and showcasing particular cultural niches.

Fans of Crocs, drag, emojis, and Pokemon cards and Toby jugs, among others, are also welcome to apply for the position of “super fan advisors” to contribute and enhance the museum’s pre-existing collections and upcoming exhibitions. Successful applicants will receive remuneration per session. Dr Tristram Hunt, Museum Director, commented that the new advisory roles would enable the museum to celebrate and uncover “the enormous, and often surprising, creative diversity” available to its visitors and to learn more about design stories relevant to modern-day audiences.

Recently, Taylor Swift made additional headlines with two of her albums, ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ and ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’, being included in the top five best-selling cassettes of the year in the United States. The singer also shared that writing her forthcoming album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, was a lifeline for her during a challenging period in her life. Swift will soon commence her UK and European tour, beginning on May 9 in Paris, followed by shows across the region, including at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland.

If you are a passionate Taylor Swift enthusiast, you may be qualified for the advisory role on offer at the V&A Museum. Make sure to apply on the museum’s official website
