K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM has released their third studio album titled ‘Easy’ which explores the concept of anxiety and vulnerability beneath a confident exterior. In an interview with Weverse Magazine, LE SSERAFIM member Sakura discussed why they moved away from their strong image and decided to show a more personal and introspective side of themselves. Sakura said that the group agreed they couldn’t keep repeating the same idea of being strong and unwavering and that now that they are into their second year as a group, they felt it was time to show a different side of them.
During the interview, Sakura also touched on her personal experience with trying to meet the expectations of others and feeling worn out. She emphasized that it is important to be true to oneself and not conform to the world’s expectations. She stated that people can still grow and change without succumbing to the pressure to be someone they are not.
The K-pop girl group previously released their first English single titled ‘Perfect Night’ in October 2023, which also served as a collaboration with Overwatch 2. Yunjin, another member of LE SSERAFIM, recently appeared on the new single ‘Yes or No’ by production duo GroovyRoom and singer Crush.
The ‘Easy’ album has been well received, with critics praising the group’s fearless portrayal of vulnerability and self-reflection. LE SSERAFIM has cemented their place as a girl group that can tackle a diverse range of topics in their music, from confidence and strength to vulnerability and anxiety.
