Fever 333 have released their latest single ‘Ready Rock’ off their upcoming album set to release later in 2024 via Century Media. In this track, the band pays tribute to the Black artists who pioneered rock n’ roll and highlights the injustices they faced not receiving proper recognition for their contribution to the genre. The band believes that rock music is black music and asserts this in their press release. Producer credits on ‘Ready Rock’ go to the band themselves, along with Beach Noise (Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem) and Glassjaw’s Justin Beck.
Following a major line-up change last year which saw the exit of guitarist Stephen Harrison and drummer Aric Improta, frontman Jason Aalon Butler revamped the members with Thomas Pridgen from The Mars Volta as the new drummer, viral sensation April Kae on bass, and Brandon Davis on guitar. This new formation released their first single ‘Swing’ in May 2023, which was their first new music to come out in three years. Fever 333 is currently out on a series of live shows with Enter Shikari as part of the latter’s UK and European tour.
The band has only one show planned for North America so far, which will take place in Wisconsin on July 20th at Rock Fest. Last month, Butler and Enter Shikari collaborated on a track called ‘Losing My Grip’ which was received well by fans and critics alike. The band hopes to bring attention to the roots of rock music and the contribution of Black artists who were often not given proper credit for their influence in shaping this genre.
Overall, Fever 333’s ‘Ready Rock’ gives a nod to the pioneers of rock n’ roll and encourages listeners to appreciate the history and origins of the genre while giving due credit to Black artists. The band continues to tour and perform live shows with their newly formed line-up and is looking forward to releasing their upcoming album
