An annual benefit concert for the actor and comedian Leslie Jordan was held on February 17 at the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Post Malone and Eddie Vedder took to the stage as part of Reportin’ For Duty, with the aim of raising funds for the EB Research Partnership. The charity conducts research into the severe and incurable skin disease Epidermolysis Bullosa.
The audience was treated to a performance by Vedder and Malone, playing on acoustic guitars together. They paid tribute to Tom Petty by playing his 1989 song ‘I Won’t Back Down,’ from his album ‘Full Moon Fever.’ They also performed Pearl Jam’s ‘Better Man,’ one of the songs from the band’s third album ‘Vitalogy’ that they released in 1994. A member of the audience posted footage of the performance on Twitter, which has since gone viral.
It’s been a hectic time for Vedder, who recently released Pearl Jam’s title track and lead single of their comeback album ‘Dark Matter’, due to be released on April 19. The new album is available for pre-order on a dedicated website. The band also announced an upcoming world tour that will cover North America, Europe, and Australia. The UK part of the tour will include two huge shows, one in Manchester and one in London, with fans having to register for a chance to buy tickets.
Post Malone, on the other hand, performed for Super Bowl 2024, playing an acoustic version of ‘America the Beautiful.’ He will also be starring in an upcoming remake of ‘Road House’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. Furthermore, he is set to be featured on ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ a track of Taylor Swift’s soon to be released album set for April 19
