Alternative rock band PVRIS has released their latest single ‘Burn the Witch’, a joint effort with rapper Tommy Genesis and artist Alice Longyu-Gao. Produced by frontwoman Lyndsey Gunnulfsen, ‘Burn the Witch’ serves as the lead single for PVRIS’ forthcoming album, which is expected to drop later in the year via Hopeless Records. The band’s previous album, ‘Evergreen’, released in 2023.

Speaking about the experience, she said, “I’ve been a huge fan of both Tommy and Alice for quite a while so it was an absolute dream to not only have them on a track together but to also get to be crafting the production around their parts.”
In announcing the project, Gunnulfsen said that she wanted to work with an all-female group of artists, writers and producers. The upcoming album, she said, is a chance to “create a space where we can express whatever we want and get to experiment sonically.” Nevertheless, she added, women are still woefully underrepresented in the music industry behind the scenes.
PVRIS’ next tour kicks off 24th April in Hanover, supporting ‘Evergreen’. The tour covers European and American cities before ending 11th July in Los Angeles. Tickets are now available via Ticketmaster.
In January 2021, former PVRIS guitarist Alex Babinski announced that he had been cleared of allegations of sexual assault that had led to his removal from the band in August 2020. Babinski had been accused of sexual harassment in June 2020. Recording Industry Association of America guidelines disallowed Babinski any certification pending resolution of his case, which Babinski says is now resolved. “I hope now I will be able to take the steps to rebuild my life and continue on a journey to heal,” he said in response to being cleared of all charges
