Lea-Rose Besson, a prominent Berlin techno DJ and producer known as Radical Softness, has died at the age of 28. The news was revealed through Instagram by a close friend, Znzl, co-founder of Demian Records, who wrote that “We are devastated to announce that our beloved Lea Rose has left our Earth last night.” Radical Softness was an advocate for “radical” self-expression, safer spaces and the queer *FLINTA community in Berlin, according to Resident Advisor. Radical Softness leaves behind a powerful legacy as a DJ, producer, and activist who challenged norms, broke boundaries and gave visibility to queer and femme voices.
