Singer Lana Del Rey shared a cover of Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies” on February 14. The song is included in the Jack Antonoff-produced soundtrack for Apple TV+’s new series, “The New Look,” which revolves around fashion designers during World War II. Del Rey put her own spin on the song, which originally debuted in 1926 and conveyed hope for brighter days through its lyrics. It premiered globally on Apple TV+ on February 14 and is told over 10 episodes. Other cast members include Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, and Emily Mortimer.

Del Rey previously joined Antonoff to work on her new country album, “Lasso.” She also appeared with him at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she was nominated for her album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” but didn’t win. The artist will headline several festivals this summer, including Primavera Sound, Hangout Festival, and Coachella. Moreover, she will perform at Reading & Leeds Festival alongside Liam Gallagher and Blink-182.
