The War On Drugs announce summer 2024 UK and European headline shows

The highly acclaimed rock band, The War on Drugs, has announced the details of their upcoming UK and European tour, set to take place later this year. The Grammy Award-winning band will grace the stage across the pond for a series of live shows this summer, with tickets now available for purchase.

The tour is scheduled to occur in July, with the first three performances taking place in the UK, followed by two remaining shows in Europe. The War on Drugs will commence their tour at the Mountford Hall venue in Liverpool on July 9th before moving on to play two back-to-back shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London on July 11th and 12th. The Clientele and NewDad will provide the support acts during the London shows.

The tour continues with a performance in the Netherlands on July 15th before finally concluding in Denmark on July 17th. The band’s latest studio album, ‘I Don’t Live Here Anymore’, was released in 2021 and was met with glowing reviews. British music magazine ‘NME’ praised the album, calling it a “soul-stirring epic” and awarding it a perfect five-star score.

Apart from the UK and European tour that the band has lined up this summer, The War on Drugs will also be taking part in other festivals. The Bourbon and Beyond festival in Kentucky in September, as well as performances at Belgium’s Cactus Festival, and both Norway’s Malakoff Festival and Buktafestivalen have also been confirmed.

Tickets for The War on Drugs’ tour go on sale this Friday, February 16th at 10 am local time. Fans are advised to act fast to avoid disappointment and to enjoy the band’s soulful, atmospheric music live.
