Rappers Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have paired up to release Gin & Juice, a new line of alcoholic beverages. The drinks are based on the 1994 tune “Gin and Juice,” off Snoop Dogg’s debut record Doggystyle, which was produced by Dr. Dre. Four pre-made cocktails are now available in the US, with different flavors including Citrus, Melon, Passionfruit, and Apricot.
More Gin & Juice products are being developed as part of the hip-hop team’s new high-end spirits brand. Dr. Dre said in a press statement that they always try to create magic: “We’re having fun being inventive, and everything about this product is actually us.”
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have partnered on business ventures before, and additionally, have collaborated on numerous tracks, such as 1992’s “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,”2009’s “Kush,” and 1999’s “Still D.R.E.” The pair revealed plans for a Doggystyle sequel album called “Missionary,” which was set to come out in November 2022, but the project never materialized. Dr. Dre is said to be serving as a producer on “Missionary.”
Snoop Dogg has previously worked in the food and drink sector, with products under his Broadus Foods venture, which he owns with Master P. Earlier this month, the two rappers took legal action against Walmart, accusing the retail behemoth of sabotaging their cereal label, Snoop Cereals, by hiding it on store shelves
