Brontide announce 10th anniversary reissue of the influential ‘Artery’

British instrumental band Brontide has announced a special 10th-anniversary reissue of their album ‘Artery.’ The album was originally released in 2014 and the reissue will be available on the 2nd of August 2024. Fans can pre-order the limited edition silver fade vinyl by following the link on the Brontide Bandcamp page. The announcement of the reissue coincides with the band’s only UK gig of 2024. The show will take place at Bristol’s ArcTanGent Festival on the 17th of August.

Brontide released their second album ‘Artery’ in 2014 following their acclaimed debut album ‘Sans Souci’ in 2011. The band tours extensively throughout their nine years together, gathering a cult following along the way. The band announced their split in 2017, after which members went on to pursue their own musical ventures.

Bassist Nathan Fairweather became a member of Rolo Tomassi, while drummer William Bowerman co-founded WFB Live, the musical direction company behind tours and performances for artists such as Dua Lipa, Elton John, and Blackpink. Guitarist Tim Hancock moved to Los Angeles to work with Fender.

In a social media teaser video shared last month, the band expressed excitement for the future of Brontide. The band said: “After nine years, two albums, an EP, several videos plus multiple shows and tours, we have decided to stop playing as Brontide. It has been a very difficult decision to make but we can no longer give it the time it deserves, so it only feels right to roll end credits.”

Tickets for Brontide’s performance at ArcTanGent can be purchased on their website. The tracklisting of the ‘Artery’ album is Tonitro, Bare My Bones, Kith and Kin, Cabin, Knives, Still Life, Caramel, and Red Gold. The band’s cult following still holds the memories of their live shows and their music in high regard
