Indie rock band FEET have made an announcement about their second album release. Titled ‘Make It Up’, the album will be released on June 14th by Submarine Cat Records. ‘Make It Up’ is now available for pre-order and pre-save online. The album’s first single ‘The Real Thing’ has a vintage-sounding guitar riff combined with bright drums. The single examines the next part of a relationship and the questions that arise when it reaches a new level. Guitarist and band member George Haverson explains: “It’s a song about confronting the transition in a relationship between a new thing to something more established. Asking a sincere question and hoping for an equally sincere response.”
After the success of their debut album ‘What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham’ in 2019, FEET are keen to continue to push boundaries and explore new sounds. Haverson sees ‘Make It Up’ as a more polished version of their earlier material, saying “There’s no throw away ideas on this album and everything has to have its place. It has to be ironed out and perfected. I don’t like to say polished, but it is perfected to a point where everything can be done in its fullest form.” He also remarked on the evolution of the band, stating that before, “we were throwing sh*t at the wall. This time round, everything feels a bit more refined.”
FEET will support the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets on tour later this month. Additionally, they will host their own headline show at the Brixton Windmill in London on February 19th. Fans can purchase their tickets to the shows on their website. ‘Make It Up’ is an eagerly awaited album from the English band, featuring 12 complete songs that have refined the FEET machine. According to Haverson: “Being in a band is a big chunk of time in your life, but this is a choice we all make, and we don’t ever have to even think about coming back to FEET. It’s like our child, really, and we’re all the surrogate fathers of this band! That keeps us together, this desire to create and make something that’s truly great.”
