Franz Ferdinand’s lead vocalist and guitarist, Alex Kapranos, marked the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album on February 9. Kapranos celebrated the album’s anniversary on Instagram, thanking everyone involved in helping the band achieve success. He also revealed that the band is working on finishing a new album, expressing excitement for everyone to hear it. The band’s last LP, Always Ascending, was released in 2018.
To celebrate 20 years since their debut album, Franz Ferdinand has re-released the album on coloured vinyl. The band also released a greatest hits compilation LP, Hits To The Head, and performed at last year’s Mad Cool festival.
