Gaming giant, Atlus, has just confirmed that Persona 3 Reload is the fastest-selling game in the company’s history. Atlus West revealed the game sold more than one million copies in the first week of its release, with the game launched across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC platforms on February 2nd.
The game originally debuted last year courtesy of Xbox, along with the announcement that it would be free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. As of Fiscal Year 2021, the Persona series had amassed around 15 million sales overall, meaning that Persona 3 Reload has already accounted for almost 1/15th of the entire franchise’s sales.
NME recently gave the game a glowing review, calling it a “must-play marvel”. Reviewers praised the stunning graphics and lighting systems, as well as the updates made to the game’s Tartarus dungeon. However, the review did note that Tartarus began to feel somewhat dull in the game’s later stages.
