British Vogue’s outgoing editor, Edward Enninful, has put together an all-female lineup of 40 stars for his farewell issue. Supermodels Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista make up part of the diverse list of women who have been chosen for the Legendary issue, alongside Oprah Winfrey, Victoria Beckham, Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus.
Enninful expressed that he wanted the issue to be entirely “dedicated to women”. He chose women who he claimed had “reached beyond fashion and culture to change the fabric of society in the 2020s, in ways small and large and always positive”.
Other British stars, such as Jodie Comer, Maya Jama and Rina Sawayama were also chosen. The roll call of superstars also includes Serena Williams, Iman, Selma Blair and Anya Taylor-Joy.
The stars flew in from all over the world to gather in New York in December to take part in the feature – which Vogue described as a logistical and scheduling achievement.
British journalist Chioma Nnadi will succeed Enninful as the first black woman to lead the magazine, taking the title of head of editorial content. The March issue of British Vogue will be available via digital download and on newsstands from Tuesday 13 February
