Newquay’s Boardmasters festival in Cornwall was the site of an alleged sexual assault on August 13, 2022, which the police have now asked the public’s help in identifying. The incident took place in a tent while a 17-year-old girl was attending the music festival. It is alleged that two men sexually assaulted the teenager. Devon and Cornwall Police have released an e-fit of one of the suspects and a description of the other, asking the public for information.
The wanted suspect is described as an individual with a South African accent, white and with a tan. He was approximately between the ages of 17 and 23 at the time of the assault, with dark blond hair, a slanted nose and a muscular build. The e-fit released by the police shows a close-up image of the individual’s face. The second suspect is described as a white male aged around 19, measuring 6ft 3in, slim, with an English accent, and with gold rings on both hands: a gold ring on his left and a gold signet ring on the other.
Detective Inspector Dan McKenzie shared a statement saying that the attack had a significant impact on the victim’s life, and the police was offering support through specially-trained officers. The authorities have appealed to the public for help in identifying the suspects, and have released the e-fit and the description of the second suspect.
