Garbage announce expanded reissue of ‘Bleed Like Me’ on vinyl and more

Garbage’s fourth studio album ‘Bleed Like Me’ is set to be reissued on vinyl, fully remastered for 2024. The LP, which debuted back in 2005, saw the band take a five-year hiatus following its release. Despite its initial challenges, it went on to become a beloved part of the band’s discography and is available on vinyl for the first time since its release. The expanded remastered version features rare tracks, b-sides, remixes and alternate versions of tracks and is set for release via BMG/Stunvolume on April 5. Fans can opt for various formats of the reissue, including a deluxe two LP red vinyl pressing, and silver vinyl pressing, a two-disc CD, and streaming on all platforms.

In a statement, Garbage’s frontwoman Shirley Manson acknowledged the challenges faced during the making of ‘Bleed Like Me’ and expressed gratitude for the fans that persisted over the years demanding a vinyl version of the album. Speaking to NME regarding the potential for a new album, Manson revealed Garbage would be going on a brief writing hiatus to commence work on their eighth album. She declined to provide further details on the album’s sound or content.

Garbage’s latest album ‘No Gods, No Masters’ was released in 2021 and received widespread critical acclaim. In a review of the album, NME praised the album’s sound and singled it out as Garbage’s best work in over twenty years. Manson also expressed disappointment over the album’s lack of promotion due to COVID-19. Despite the setback, the band is looking forward to the future and recognizes that each member has faced various obstacles that contributed to periods of conflict. Manson affirmed that the band is presently in a good place and emphasized the importance of maintaining high stakes for future work.

The band recently paid tribute to Mary Weiss of The Shangri-Las following her death in January of 2022. Although they have not revealed plans for any future concerts, Garbage remains active as ever. Fans can purchase a remastered copy of ‘Bleed Like Me’ on vinyl come April 5
