A murder investigation has been launched by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) following the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Limavady, County Londonderry. Blake Newland was attacked in Woodland Walk on Friday night and died in hospital from multiple stab wounds. Another man in his 50s was also taken to hospital and is in stable condition. Six men have been arrested and are in police custody in connection with the incident.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 50s who had been stabbed. While investigating, they discovered Blake in a nearby house who was also severely injured with stab wounds. Three people were taken to the hospital in connection with the incident, according to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Forensic markers have been placed at the cordon at Woodland Walk and part of the housing estate has been cordoned off by police.

Neighbours expressed their shock and sadness at the incident. According to one neighbour, Blake was a “lovely young guy” who frequently played football with younger children in the community. Young people from the area tried to help him by wrapping him in blankets until emergency services arrived. The police are still present at the scene of the tragedy.

Authorities have not released any information on the motive behind the attack. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to inform the police
