Due to high demand, Adele has added four extra shows to her forthcoming 2024 Munich residency. The announcement of the residency came earlier this week, confirming that the London-based singer would be performing four shows at the bespoke Munich Messe arena later this year. These European shows will be her first mainland shows on the continent since 2016, following the recent extension of her ‘Weekends with Adele’ residency in Las Vegas. The initial run of shows, scheduled for August 2, 3, 9 and 10, were set to take place at the 80,000-capacity open-air venue created specifically for her Munich residency, with renderings available on the official website.
Now, an additional four shows at the Munich Messe arena have been confirmed, scheduled to take place later this summer, on August 14, 16, 23 and 24. Fans can book tickets on the singer’s official website or buy them at the available link. Adele had expressed her surprise and delight at being a part of this summer run of shows, and the idea of performing at a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around her performance. The venue’s location is pretty much in the middle of Europe, in Munich, while the Olympics is taking place nearby.
In January, Adele had expressed that she was content with her shows in London’s Hyde Park and her ongoing residency in Las Vegas. However, she couldn’t help but follow up and indulge in this idea given the opportunity. She expressed her happiness at being part of such a fabulous event, set to take place at a random location like Munich, right after the Euros. In February, Adele had confirmed that she would embark on a world tour on her next album cycle. Still, she cautioned fans at a Las Vegas show to expect a long wait before she releases the follow-up to her 2021 album, 30.
With this latest addition and high demand for tickets, it is clear that Adele’s global appeal has not dwindled. Her latest work is a testament to her versatility and musical prowess, as she mixes things up to remain a formidable player in the music industry. Her forthcoming residency in Munich is sure to be a success, with her fans looking forward to a memorable performance
