The movie enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the new Korean film to be released by Netflix. Finally, the streaming giant has provided the first teaser of its original movie, My Name is Loh Kiwan. The film stars Song Joong-ki, who plays the lead role of Loh Kiwan. Adapted from Jo Hae-jin’s novel, I Met Loh Kiwan, the film’s storyline follows the love story between the eponymous character and Marie. A North Korean defector, Loh Kiwan, is seeking asylum in Belgium, where he meets a South Korean woman named Marie. She is struggling to find a reason to continue living. Together, the two face many difficulties as they try to adjust to their new environment.

Apart from Song Joong-ki and Choi Sung-eun, who plays Marie, the cast includes Cho Han-cheul, Kim Sung-ryoung, Lee Il-hwa, Lee Sang-hee, and Seo Hyun-woo. Netflix is yet to release a full trailer for the movie; however, the teaser provides a sneak peek of what to expect. In the clip, Loh Kiwan recalls his life in North Korea, and how he managed to escape. The teaser also shows how difficult it is for Loh Kiwan to settle in a foreign land and how the authorities remain suspicious of his real identity.
