Paul Anderson, star of “Peaky Blinders,” has been fined after pleading guilty to possession of drugs. During an appearance at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ court on January 25, Anderson admitted to the possession of class A crack cocaine, class B amphetamines, and two class C prescription substances.
According to prosecutor Kevin Kendridge, Anderson was caught with the substances on Boxing Day when the police were reportedly called to a pub in North London after a customer smelled crack cocaine fumes coming from a toilet. Paul Anderson’s defense attorney, Moira MacFarlane, said the actor found himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no. She also said that Anderson wasn’t smoking crack cocaine and that the actor often gets invited into social gatherings, where people often give him inducements.
The “Peaky Blinders” star has been fined a total of £1,345 following the incident, which comes after the BBC series ended in 2022 after six seasons. Creator Steven Knight revealed last month that the anticipated film version of the show should begin filming in 2024. Knight said that he planned to start shooting the film in the middle of 2024
