Sleep Token fans have expressed their disappointment after a technical error prevented them from getting tickets for the band’s upcoming US tour. The masked band’s “Teeth Of God” tour quickly sold out, however, fans who signed up for pre-sale codes were unable to access them until 24 hours after the general sale had begun, causing many to miss out.
Promoter AEG has since issued a formal apology to the affected fans, stating that “Our emails and sale codes were sent on time yet delivered to you late. And while there are many reasons for that, there’s no excuse. We let Sleep Token and you down. Since discovering the malfunctions, we have worked to provide codes to every fan that has contacted us.” AEG also assured fans that they will continue to work towards providing an elevated experience for fans and artists alike.
Sleep Token had earlier taken to social media to cancel so-called “bot/scalper” purchases, ensuring that genuine fans would have the opportunity to secure tickets to their shows.
Despite the technical difficulties, the band has announced it will embark on a North American tour in the spring with support from Empire State Bastard. The tour will visit numerous cities across the US, with limited remaining availability for the show in Montreal. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Sleep Token has generated significant interest in recent months, teasing a “new era” with the release of new masks and a new sound. The band has also been announced to support Bring Me The Horizon on their Australian tour in April.
