Ariana Grande has given fans a glimpse of what they can expect from her upcoming album ‘Eternal Sunshine’, discussing a few details on her Instagram story. The eagerly anticipated follow-up to her 2020 album ‘Positions’ will feature a total of 13 songs, including previously released single ‘Yes, And?’, which is the ninth track on the record. The opening song on the album will be called ‘Intro (End Of The World)’, whilst the title track will sit at number five on the tracklist.

The announcement was accompanied by the unveiling of an additional alternate artwork for the album. The image features a silhouette of the back of Grande’s head. In a review of ‘Yes, And?’, critics at NME praised Grande for presenting herself in her truest form, writing: “It presents Grande in her truest form: a flawed but honest human being, seeking to own her narrative and move forward.”

Following its release, ‘Yes, And?’ soared to number one in The United States. Via her social media account, Grande expressed how overwhelmed she felt by this news and thanked her fans for the incredible love shown for her song. The achievement now places Grande in eighth position alongside Beyoncé in the ranking for most Hot 100 number ones among female solo artists.

Whilst promoting the upcoming release of her album, Grande also found time to pay tribute to her castmates from the upcoming film adaptation of ‘Wicked’. Grande will star as Galinda opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. Posting a response to a post on Instagram from the director of the film, Jon Chu, Grande said: “Thank you, Jon, for leading the way with such compassion, openness, brilliance, and kindness.
