New action-packed trailer for Dev Patel and Jordan Peele-produced film ‘Monkey Man’ released

Universal is set to release Dev Patel’s film titled Monkey Man on April 5, as confirmed by the studio’s shared trailer for the film. The film was written, directed, and produced by Patel himself. The movie revolves around the story of a man seeking vengeance against corrupt leaders who murder his mother and exploit the powerless and poor systematically.

Monkey Man follows the lead protagonist, Kid, played by Patel, who is seen wearing a gorilla mask, fighting in an underground fighting club to earn cash while suffering from injuries night after night. Filled with suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to sneak into the enclave of the city’s corrupt elite and take revenge on those who deprived him of a better life. The hero’s childhood trauma comes boiling, and his scarred hands, blazing with vengeance, unfold an explosive campaign of retribution.

The latest trailer for Monkey Man has been soundtracked by ‘Beware Of The Boys (Mundian To Bach)’ by Panjabi and Jay-Z. Meanwhile, Jordan Peele, who is a well-known name in the film industry, has opened up about his forthcoming horror movie, which might be his ‘favourite’ amongst his works until now.
