French electronic duo Justice have announced their return with the release of a new album titled “Hyperdrama” this Spring. The duo, comprised of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, released two singles from the project, including “One Night/All Night,” featuring Tame Impala, and “Generator.” The video for the Tame Impala collaboration was produced by Phantasm and directed by Anton Tammi. It features a unique animation of the human body and the album’s artwork, which includes human organs as well as their iconic symbol from their debut LP.
Regarding their collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, the duo said, “We wanted this track to sound as if a dark/techno iteration of Justice had found a sample of a disco iteration of Kevin Parker. Kevin has a sense of melody that’s fascinating in the sense that he manages to write melodies that feel both simple and natural, but very peculiar at the same time.”
While a full tracklist hasn’t been revealed yet, “Hyperdrama” will be released on streaming platforms on April 26 via Ed Banger Records and Because Music. Physical copies of the album, including CD, double black vinyl, limited edition double crystal clear vinyl, and limited edition double picture disc vinyl, are available to pre-order.
Justice will perform at this year’s Coachella festival before embarking on a world tour that includes dates in France and Mexico. However, no UK dates have yet been announced
