The Armed have unveiled a string of UK and European tour dates scheduled for the summer of 2024. Kicking off at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival on May 30, the band will play a number of shows across the continent, with their final performance scheduled for July 12 – at the Pohoda Festival in Slovakia.
The Detroit-based band made the official announcement via their Twitter handle. Pre-sale tickets for the tour, which will also take the band to locations such as Paris, London, and Helsinki, will be available on Friday, January 26, 2024. Fans can check the band’s website or Ticketmaster for additional details.
The tour will be in support of The Armed’s upcoming fifth LP ‘Perfect Saviors’. The LP has already received positive feedback from critics. In a four-star review of the record, NME praised the band for subverting traditional rock and roll genres. Frontman Tony Wolski said the new album showcases the band’s growth as musicians.
The Armed has always kept its collective identity obscured, however, last year they began to reveal their real names for the first time. During a recent interview with NME, Wolski discussed the collective’s decision making process regarding their anonymity, saying they “never really anticipated” it to becoming such a focus for fans and industry critics. He also noted that the band’s earlier use of aliases was inspired by one of their fans named Adam Vallely.
