IU has unveiled the music video for her track ‘Love Wins All’, featuring a special appearance by BTS member V. The video takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans are hunted by strange cubes, and follows the story of IU and V as they seek shelter in an abandoned mall. Finding an old-school camcorder, the couple is plunged into a fantasy world where they can experience life without being hunted. However, their happiness is short-lived when they are discovered by one of the cubes and their final moments together are captured on camera.
‘Love Wins All’ was originally titled ‘Love Wins’, but was renamed following accusations that the former was “queerbaiting”. In a statement, EDAM Entertainment said that the song was renamed to “respect and support everyone who loves in their various ways”. This track marks IU’s first solo release since her 2021 mini-album ‘Pieces’ and her fifth full-length studio album, ‘Lilac’.
In addition to her new music, IU is expected to release new material in the first half of 2024. This announcement follows her massive ‘H.E.R.’ world tour, set to take place across 29 dates from March until August. The tour will feature a number of concerts across Asia, Europe and North America.
As a talented singer-songwriter, IU continues to captivate audiences with her beautiful melodies and emotional lyrics. Her latest offering, ‘Love Wins All’, promises to be yet another hit that will resonate with fans around the world, and only adds to the anticipation surrounding her upcoming releases
