In celebration of its tenth anniversary, Amsterdam-based electronic event Dekmantel has announced the initial lineup for its extended, 10-day-long festival. Boasting over 200 artists, the festival will take place across various locations in Amsterdam, kicking off at Het Hem for three days with sets from BICEP, Luke Slater, Aurora Halal, Avalon Emerson and DJ Python.
The festival will then move on to Skatecafe for a football tournament, followed by a festival debut at Amsterdam’s oldest building, Oude Kerk. Dekmantel will continue at Muziekgebouw with a concert celebrating legends, before moving to Aan het IJ for music, talks and workshops. It will finally culminate at Amsterdamse Bos for the final three-day run, with sets from Actress, Ben UFO, Joy Orbison, RP Boo, Sherelle, Pangaea, Eris Drew, Goldie, Helena Hauff, Jeff Mills, Courtesy, and Giant Swan, among others.
“We’ve spent 10 years to arrive at this point, and we are truly proud of it,” the festival and label posted on Instagram. “This anniversary edition pays tribute to both the genre’s essential icons and the groundbreaking figures boldly leading the culture toward what comes next. We hope you enjoy it.” Pre-sale tickets will be available on January 25th, with general sales following on January 26th.
In celebration of the announcement, Legowelt and Jonacthan performed a live set, which can be viewed on Dekmantel’s website. The festival will begin on August 4th and run until August 13th. Check out the official lineup poster on Dekmantel’s website
