The 10th anniversary edition of AVA festival in Belfast is set to bring some of the biggest names in electronic music to the Titanic Slipways this May 31 – June 1. The festival, which has been held in Belfast for the past decade, has curated a lineup that reflects a “strong past, an exciting present and a bright future”. Among the highlights are hometown heroes BICEP bringing their CHROMA A/V show to the festival, while producer and vocalist Nia Archives and Scottish electronic phenomenon Barry Can’t Swim will be making their AVA debuts.
Headliners returning to the festival this year include house legend Kerri Chandler and electro heavyweight Helena Hauff, while horsegiirL and fellow ‘My Barn My Rules’ artist MCR-T are set to gallop into Belfast for the first time. Other names on the lineup include Sammy Virji, Flowdan, Neffa T, Bitter Babe b2b Surusinghe, Nick Léon, and Effy, with many more still to be announced.
Local Belfast artists will also be represented, including Timmy Stewart, Marion Hawkes, Jordan Nocturne, Holly Lester, Swoose, Emby, Reger, and Plain Sailing DJs. According to AVA Festival founder, Sarah McBriar, “AVA represents a lot more than electronic music, it represents a community, a movement that started in Belfast that grew globally, of open-minded, creatively curious and adventurous souls uniting in a space where freedom of expression is encouraged.”
The festival will donate £1 of every ticket purchased to EarthPercent, a climate action partner. To join in the celebrations of AVA Festival’s 10th anniversary, head to their website to purchase tickets
