Just Like Heaven festival, which was established by Coachella and Day N Vegas organizers Goldenvoice, has announced its lineup, featuring renowned indie-rock and pop trailblazers from the 2000s. Among the acts performing at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA on Saturday, May 18, are The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, Phoenix, The War on Drugs, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Alvvays, Two Door Cinema Club, Phantogram, Metric, Gossip, Tegan and Sara, Washed Out, CSS, Broken Social Scene, Warpaint, Be Your Own Pet, Sleigh Bells, The Go! Team, Them Jeans, and Chris Cruse.
Frontman for both The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Gibbard, expressed delight at headlining Just Like Heaven and the opportunity to bring the 20th anniversary celebration of ‘Give Up’ and ‘Transatlanticism’ back to the Los Angeles area. Passes for the festival will be available from this Friday.
For Gossip, Just Like Heaven will be their first US festival performance after the release of their new album ‘Real Power’ – their first in 12 years. Meanwhile, Miike Snow will be taking the stage for the first time since 2019, and CSS will be marking their 20th anniversary with a celebration.
The 2023 edition of Just Like Heaven featured major acts such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, and The Walkmen. In other festival news, the Governor’s Ball festival has confirmed its return to Flushing Meadows Park in Queens, NY, starring The Killers, SZA, and Post Malone
