Netflix announces ‘Super Rich in Korea’, hosted by GOT7’s BamBam

Netflix has recently announced “Super Rich in Korea,” a new reality TV show that will feature the luxurious lifestyles of the wealthiest people in Korea. The show will showcase the culture, parties, cars, and haute couture of this exclusive Korean lifestyle. Personalities featured in the show will include Singaporean entrepreneur David Yong, Arab social media celebrity Noor Naim, and South Korean figure Yoo Hee-ra, among others. The hosts for “Super Rich in Korea” are GOT7 member BamBam, OH MY GIRL singer Mimi, and South Korean comedian Cho Sae-ho. The series will premiere on Netflix this April.

In addition to new reality TV announcements, Park Seo-jun addressed the criticism regarding the pace of the first season of Netflix K-drama “Gyeongseong Creature.” Seo-jun teased that season two will be faster-paced. Recently, the latest from “Train To Busan” creator Yeon Sang-ho, “The Bequeathed,” premiered on Netflix. The show received a mixed review, with NME’s Rhian Daly saying that it “starts out strong but doesn’t live up to expectations.” Netflix has also released a trailer of their upcoming original film “Badland Hunters,” which will be released exclusively on Netflix this Friday, January 26.

It is evident that Netflix is continuing to expand its K-drama and reality TV shows with upcoming releases such as “Super Rich in Korea.” With the recent release of Park Seo-jun’s “Gyeongseong Creature” and Yeon Sang-ho’s “The Bequeathed,” it is clear that Netflix wants to provide a wide variety of Korean entertainment options for their viewers.
