The electronic-heavy soundtrack of Netflix’s new sci-fi drama, “The Kitchen,” has caught the attention of viewers. The film, directed by “Get Out” star Daniel Kaluuya and Kibwe Tavares, takes place in dystopian future London, where social housing no longer exists. The story revolves around two characters, Izi and 12-year-old Benji, as they try to survive extreme changes in their neighbourhood, called “The Kitchen.” The cast includes Hope Ikpoku Jr, Demmy Ladipo, Cristale, BackRoad Gee, and Rasaq Kukoyi.

Former footballer Ian Wright also appears in the film as pirate radio DJ Lord Kitchener, who broadcasts about the community’s struggles. The film’s score was composed by Alex Baranowski, alongside Labrinth, an English singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer known for his work on the HBO series “Euphoria.” Baranowski has previously worked with Labrinth, orchestrating arrangements for the Coachella Festival. However, his notable works include film scores for “The Teacher” and “Locked In.”
