American rock band Alkaline Trio has announced a summer tour in the UK and Europe for 2024. The tour will last throughout July and August, starting on July 22 at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle and ending on July 30 at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. The European leg of the tour will start on August 4 in McCoy’s Love Music Hall in Cologne, Germany. The tour announcement comes ahead of the release of the band’s new album “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs,” set to release on the same day as the tour announcement.
According to the band, the tour marks their longest break from creating new content in recent years. Vocalist Matt Skiba attributed the delay to his joining Blink-182 in 2015 and releasing two albums before eventually leaving again to make way for the returning Tom DeLonge in 2022. Both Skiba and fellow vocalist Dan Andriano described the new album as “apocalyptic” and addressing the need for humanity to “get its shit together”.
Pre-sale tickets for the upcoming tour will be available starting Wednesday, January 24, at 10 AM GMT, with general on-sale tickets beginning Friday, January 26, at 10 AM GMT. Fans can purchase their tickets at Ticketmaster, with album pre-sales available at specific locations as well.
Alkaline Trio’s UK and European tour dates for 2024 include stops in Nottingham, Bristol, London, Leeds, Cologne, Berlin, Wels, and Munich. During the tour, the band will be playing songs from their new album, as well as some of their older classics that catapulted them into the mainstream music scene
