The Last Dinner Party, a much-hyped London band, graced The Graham Norton Show with a performance of their hit debut song, “Nothing Matters.” The band also briefly chatted about their upcoming appearance at the Coachella festival and the release of their first full-length record, “Prelude To Ecstasy,” set for release on February 2, 2024, produced in London by James Ford, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Florence + The Machine, and Foals.
The album features recent singles “Nothing Matters,” “Sinner,” and “My Lady Of Mercy,” which were previewed last November with the track “On Your Side.” According to the band members, “Ecstasy is a pendulum that swings between the extremes of human emotion, from the ecstasy of passion to the sublimity of pain, and it is this concept that binds our album together. This is an archeology of ourselves.”
The band, who were NME cover stars back in December, were also crowned the winner of the BBC’s Sound of 2024 poll last year, as well as winners of the BRITs Rising Star award. The Last Dinner Party is set to embark on their UK and European tour soon, starting with a slot at The Fleece venue in Bristol on January 30. They will also play a sold-out headline show at the Roundhouse in London, which they previously teased could be historical, on the eve of their album’s release.
