Chanel has released a new short film called “The Button” featuring Kendrick Lamar’s original music. Directed by Lamar’s longtime creative collaborator, Dave Free, the film stars Margaret Qualley and Naomi Campbell. The soul-inspired track features Lamar singing an unreleased song. Although it is uncertain whether the full song will be released, listeners can hear the following lyrics: “There’s a hold on me / and it’s changed / is a troubled spirit hard to explain?” He released his LP “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” in 2022, which received high praise from “NME.”
Lamar recently formed The Hillbillies with Baby Keem, releasing a song titled after the group’s name. The pair has collaborated ten times, with “Family Ties” winning a Grammy.
