Police are investigating the death of a woman in her 30s, whose body was found at a house in Princes Road, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody for questioning. Detectives are working to establish the sequence of events that led to the woman’s death. The police believe the incident to be isolated and that the parties involved were known to each other. A cordon has now been placed around the house.
The police had received information of a body being discovered inside the property at around 09:11 GMT. Upon arrival, they found the woman who has not yet been named. The police have stated that the matter will be referred to the Independent Office of Police Conduct for review due to “previous police contact prior to death”.
As of yet, no further details regarding the woman or the man in custody have been released by the authorities. Investigators will be working diligently to piece together the details of the tragic event and are appealing to any witnesses or individuals with pertinent information regarding this case to come forward.
