NCT’s final sub-group, NCT WISH, is set to debut in February. The six-member group will include Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya and will be based in both South Korea and Japan, conducting global activities.
NCT WISH was formerly known as NCT New Team and has performed under that name at several concerts in Japan. They were confirmed as members through the reality show NCT Universe: Lastart. SM Entertainment released a teaser for the boyband, and they are determined to become a “Wish Icon” and send hope and energy to their fans worldwide.
NCT, introduced in 2016, is a K-pop boyband with one rotational sub-unit, NCT U, and fixed sub-units NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. SM Entertainment shared plans to debut the final sub-group, then known as NCT Tokyo, in February 2023. However, former NCT members Sungchan and Shotaro left the band in May 2023 to re-debut in a new boy group. Recently, Sungchan and Shotaro made their debut as members of SM Entertainment’s latest boy band, RIIZE.
