Bush perform ‘Glycerine’ on ‘Fallon’, announce North American tour

British band Bush made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where they performed their hit song ‘Glycerine’. Gavin Rossdale, the band’s frontman, performed the ballad with heartfelt emotion and a distorted electric guitar in hand. He even stopped playing his guitar midway through the song and sang the second verse a cappella. Bush appeared on the show almost 26 years ago when Jay Leno was the host, which was just after the release of their debut studio album ‘Sixteen Stone’. Rossdale performed ‘Glycerine’ during that appearance as well but with an electric guitar and a string section surrounding him.

Obviously, the purpose of the band’s appearance was to promote their upcoming North American tour, ‘Loaded: The Greatest Hits’. The tour will kick off on July 25 in Bend, Oregon, at the Hayden Homes Amphitheatre and will run until September 15, when it concludes in Los Angeles’ The Greek Theatre. Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and 90s grunge band Candlebox will join the band as support acts. Presale tickets are already available via the band’s official website.

Rossdale expressed in a video via Bush’s Instagram account that the tour came as a direct reflection of the reaction their greatest hits album ‘Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994-2023’ received. The band released the album in November, and it included a new track, “Nowhere To Go But Everywhere,” which Rossdale said was “a powerful reflection on the shifts in perspective that time brings.” Rossdale remains the only original member of the band, who released their last full-length studio album, ‘The Art Of Survival’, in 2022, which was previewed by the single ‘Heavy Is The Ocean’.

The tour will feature a series of concerts in cities such as Denver, Chicago, Nashville, Toronto, and Boston, following which Bush will conclude their tour in Los Angeles in September. The presale tickets are available through the band’s official website, and general sales begin today, January 19, at 10 AM local time
