The nominees for the upcoming 77th BAFTAs, also known as the British Academy Film Awards, have just been announced. This year’s ceremony will take place on February 18 at the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre, and will be hosted by David Tennant for the first time.
The most nominated film for this year’s awards is Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, garnering a total of 13 nods, while Barbie and Saltburn both received five nominations each. The full list of nominees for the different categories can be found below.
Some of the categories to watch out for include Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Leading Actress, and Supporting Actor. Carey Mulligan, Emma Stone, and Margot Robbie are all up for Best Leading Actress, while Robert De Niro and Ryan Gosling are among the nominees for Best Supporting Actor.
Other categories that will be presented at the BAFTAs include Outstanding debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer, Original Score, Sound, Editing, and Makeup & Hair, among others. It’s worth noting that the aforementioned nominees are not exhaustive, and additional nominees for the categories are expected to be announced leading up to the ceremony.
The BAFTAs are one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the film industry.
