Hip-hop artist Rick Ross has become an internet sensation after throwing a bundle of bills into a clubgoer’s face. Ross was performing at E11Even Miami last Friday when a man in the audience threw some money in the air, some of which landed on Ross as he took to the stage. Exploiting the moment, Ross stopped the music, split the bundle and hurled it back at the man, who appeared thrilled.
A video of the exchange went viral on social media. Ross was also pictured training for his forthcoming climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, which he plans to undertake in early 2024. Ross has been preparing for the ascent for a year, and has expressed his intention to “get in the best shape of our lives [for this]”.
The rapper’s climb follows revelations about his previous partying exploits and his addiction to lean, a narcotic drink containing codeine and promethazine. Ross is heartily fond of his social life and insists he won’t change, but admitted he had to take action following a heart attack in 2018, after which – he revealed – he was prescribed medicine for seizures: “I’ve tried taking things to help, but it’s useless. I partied hard”, he said.
Ross has also disclosed that he is keen to sign up Kanye West to his Maybach Music Group record label
