The BRITs Week for War Child is set to take place in 2024, and it has enlisted the talents of various musicians, including Sleaford Mods, Keane and The Last Dinner Party. The event, which started in 2009, will involve artists performing intimate shows with all proceeds going to War Child. The organization aims to aid children whose lives have been impacted by war. The event has raised a total of £7 million so far.
The week-long event will coincide with The BRIT Awards taking place on March 2, 2024. Additional performers during the week will include Baby Queen, You Me At Six, Aitch, CMAT, and Pendulum, among others. Fans interested in winning tickets to their favorite performer’s show can enter the prize draw by making donations with various entries priced at £7, £15, and £30.
Apart from the prize draw, a limited number of tickets will also be available for each show. War Child pre-sale tickets can be purchased by subscribers from January 18. General ticket sale will start on January 19.
Clare Sanders Wright, Senior Music Manager at War Child, expressed excitement for the release of the line-up for the event and appreciated the artists who are donating their time and skills for the campaign. Proceeds from the BRITs Week 2024 event will go towards supporting War Child’s efforts to help children who are victims of war and conflicts. War Child provides children with mental health assistance, food, and shelter in areas that are hard to reach.
The Director of the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), Dr. Jo Twist, thanked various partners of the event and the artists themselves for their support. Twist stated how BRITs Week is an essential part of the celebration of great British music in all its diversity and raises vital funds for War Child.
The BRIT Awards ceremony, which the entire event revolves around, is scheduled to take place on March 2, 2024, at The O2 in London, marking the second year in a row that the show is aired in a primetime Saturday night slot on ITV1 and ITVX.
