Texan trio Khruangbin have released their new single ‘A Love International’, along with announcing their first album in four years titled ‘A La Sala’. The album is set to be released on April 5 through Dead Oceans and Night Time. The album will include 12 songs made up of pieces from the band’s creative past, including remnants from off-the-cuff voice memos and soundcheck recordings.
“Having stockpiled ideas originally set down as off-the-cuff recordings, they began fitting those pieces together in the studio for ‘A La Sala’,” the band said in a statement about the album.
‘Texas Moon’, their second collaborative EP with singer-songwriter Leon Bridges, was released in 2022 and was the last original music from the band before the release of ‘A La Sala’. In 2020, the band received a full five-star rating from NME for their last album ‘Mordechai’, which traverses multiple eras and continents in its psychedelic themes.
Khruangbin’s last project expanded their horizons by partially incorporating vocals, something the band isn’t typically associated with. Several members of Khruangbin are also singers, and they showcase their musical knowledge to create their latest album. The band has been gaining popularity recently with a growing worldwide fanbase
