Liverpool’s British Music Experience is set to host a temporary exhibition charting the history of one of the most important girl bands in British music, the Spice Girls. Called ‘Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30,’ it will run from 7 February 2024 to 8 September 2024. The exhibition will tell the band’s story through items from the collection of independent curator Liz West, including costumes all hand-made by international designers or commissioned by the Spice Girls themselves.
West’s collection of Spice Girls memorabilia holds many iconic items, and has been Guinness World Record breaking for several years. The exhibition will celebrate the 30-year history of the Spice Girls, who had nine UK number one singles and sold 80 million records worldwide.
