Sarina Wiegman, England’s women’s football team manager, has been named coach of the year for the fourth time, having previously won in 2017, 2020 and 2022. She beat Barcelona Femeni coach Jonatan Giraldez and Chelsea’s Emma Hayes. England goalkeeper Mary Earps was named the world’s best goalkeeper for the second successive year. Earps finished ahead of Mackenzie Arnold of West Ham and Barcelona’s Catalina Coll.

Manchester United keeper Mary Earps won the Fifa Best goalkeeper prize for the second successive year after a standout performance across the season, which saw her voted as both BBC Sports Personality Of The Year and BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year. Earps also earned a fifth-place finish in the voting for the Ballon d’Or, named Women’s Super League goalkeeper of the year, and was included in the 2022 FIFPro Women’s World XI
